About Us
MCPPP-Material Culture of the Prairie, Plains & Plateau
We are a group of people who enjoy studying historic Native American material culture of the Prairie, Plains & Plateau regions. We come from many backgrounds, from museum curators, art dealers and appraisers, and professors to bead-workers and hide tanners, and welcome anyone with interest in historic Native material culture to attend. Prior conferences have been held in Great Falls, MT, Lewiston, ID, Larned, KS, Rapid City, SD, Canyon, TX, Vancouver, WA, St. Ignatius, MT, Colorado Springs, CO, Santa Fe, NM and several other locations.
